UNIQUE CARS MAGAZINE #431 ON SALE NOW | PACER POWER!
This month we’re celebrating 50 years of the Aussie Pacer + much, much more!
Nineteen sixty-nine was the year of Abbey Road, flower power and the Valiant Pacer.
The Aussie Mopar was unlike anything else that Chrysler Corp had offered before – and, unlike the larger V8 sedans and VIPs, was aimed squarely at the youth market.
In Unique Cars Magazine #431, we get up close with two sweet examples – a VF and a VG; to celebrate 50 years of the Aussie Pacer!
Continuing the Mopar madness, we check in with NSW’s Jeff Connolly, the man behind the Grenfell Chrysler Museum!
We’re relaunching Modern Classics – looking at the underrated, or perhaps the little-known contemporary toys that collectors might be smart to look at. This month it’s BMW’s 1M Coupe, the cult-classic coupe that was a game-changer for the M Division. You can still find them on the secondhand market, and we’re here to tell you that they’ve only gotten better with age!
Further along, Editor Allen and Higgo load into the Unique Cars Kingswood and set their sights on the Parkes Satellite for the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.
Up front in ToyBox, we spend some time with the giant-killing Renault Clio V6. A spiritual Group B car for the road, with its rear seats binned in favour of a sizeable 3.0lt V6, and a six-speed transaxle.
Never sold in Australia, they’re a serious rarity, and an even more serious bit of kit to drive!
This month’s Reader’s Resto comes courtesy of Phil’s fantastic E49 Charger! His family had one new before it was stolen shortly after. He’s always dreamt about owning that car, and finally made it happen!
PLUS:
- Uncle Phil’s top buys
- Morley’s workshop
- And all of the latest auction news and more!
