Former test mule cracks $300k

A 1973 LJ GTR XU-1 Torana has cracked the $300k barrier at a recent Burns & Co auction, setting a new price record of $348,000 before buyer premium. 

The previous record was set earlier this year by another LJ XU-1, also sold by Burns, at $295,000.

While the previous car was a low-mile example in exceptional condition, the latest one had a different claim to fame: that it was a former test mule for Holden.
