V8 project

Canny Scot Tom Walkinshaw made HSVs for all budgets and levels of hooliganism. In 1993 the VR got a facelift and HSV threw a shed load of performance and refinement at a new model, the Senator.

The bodykit was penned by Jaguar and Aston Martin designer Ian Callum for a more aggressive look and stance. It also got a touring suspension setup. Under the bonnet of this Sherbrook Green example is the 185kW V8 with a four-speed auto and build number 355 of just 855 made.

The odo on this 1994 car is showing 170,000km and the paint is looking tired in places, hence the modest price. It’s with Muscle Car Warehouse in Sydney for $27,500. A tempting project for someone.
