Hardtop Anniversary Reunion

The Ford Coupe Club of Australia has set a new date and place for its next Hardtop Anniversary Reunion: Mildura across November 19-21.

Here's what the club had to say about it:

This will be the long awaited HTA event that under normal circumstances would occur every two years. This event celebrates the 1-2 win of the Hardtops at Bathurst all those years ago.  The Club has had to delay the running of this event, due in the main to the COVID 19 threat.  Recognising that four years has been a long time without a Coupe catch-up, the club has decided that if it keeps waiting for an unpredictable "return to normal life" it could easily be another couple of years before another HTA could take place.

After long consideration, and working out how to do the HTA as a COVID safe activity. It was decided to wait no longer, and baring a Victorian lockdown at the time, a HTA could take place in a Country town that has a lower COVID risk, and a warmer climate. If the unthinkable in the form of a lockdown or border closure should occur, the club has agreed that it will give full refunds to those who have paid the registration fees.

Once again, the coupe fans agreed, and the result was…just go for it.

Although a long way from Melbourne and Sydney, the City of Mildura turned out to be the perfect place for this event, and this will become Hardtop City on the weekend of 19, 20 and 21 of November, this year. An agenda has been created that will cater for all tastes, including track action drag racing, and a poker run, and the two car displays on Saturday and on Sunday.
