Heroic Group A and Group C racers are heading back to the mountain

Whilst they were missed at this year’s event, the Heritage Touring Cars are set to return to their spiritual mountain home at Bathurst.

The renewed support category shall return at the 2019 Bathurst 6 Hour production car race.

Taking place over the Easter long weekend, April 19 to 21, punters will see numerous Group A  and  Group C legends from 1973 to 1992 hark back to the glory years of Australian Touring Cars.

Heritage Touring Cars Director Ed Singleton stated: "We’re the custodians of these magnificent Group C and Group A touring cars, and we love taking them to the track for everyone to enjoy".

"There is no better opportunity to show them off and share them with the fans than a blast around Mount Panorama at the Bathurst 6 Hour event".

The last time the Heritage Touring Cars appeared at the Mountain was at the 2017 Bathurst 6 Hour, in which Chris Stillwell topped the podium behind the wheel of an ex-Dick Johnson Sierra.

Let us know which Group C or Group A hero would you most like to see tearing up Mount Panorama!
