Unique Cars Magazine's latest issue has just dropped, and you can find it on shelves at your local newsagents, grocery store, or wherever you source your fine reading material!

Our cover story brings us up close and personal with the very first prototype XD Phase 5; a skunkwerks backroom project birthed by a number of Ford employees as the corporation shyed away from its 'Total Performance' roots.

This special Falcon now lives the quiet life, out in country Victoria in the loving hands of husband and wife enthusiasts Matt and Vic Dohle.

Of course, we couldn't let issue #440 go past us without featuring one of Mopar's mid-60s big-block; this one found under the bonnet of Ned's 1971 Plymouth Roadrunner with the 440 four-pack.

A menacing car with road-presence by the bucketload, and one that Guy reckons "in many ways, epitomises the golden era of US muscle cars".

Further back, we look at the collectability of a few interesting models; namely Mercedes-Benz's world-beating W126 S-Class; a car which was hugely expensive in its day, but may provide one of the most astute entry-level options in classic cars today.

This month's reader's resto is thanks to Darren and his beautiful 1979 Holden TE GEmini Gypsy. A rare breed in surviving condition these days. Darren comes from a lifelong love of Gems' and his knowledge and passion materialised in one hell of a restoration. This should almost certainly be the best Gypsy you've ever seen.
