Camaro Firebird Owners Club

Our club is committed to the restoration, preservation and enjoyment of both classic and more contemporary Pontiac Firebird and Chevrolet Camaro models. Whether your vehicle is a daily driver or a concours car, Australian or imported, all are welcome to join us on a run.

The club was founded in 1987 making next year our 30th Anniversary, we will also be celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Camaro and Firebird, GM’s answer to the Mustang. It was started by a group of enthusiasts to cater for owners of GM’s F-Body vehicles under the name "Camaro Firebird Owners club of NSW". Within a few months club membership grew and a club magazine was started to inform ever-growing members of the increasing events and news that are associated with F- Bodies.

In 1997 the club went national and we are the only club in Australia to cater exclusively to the Camaro & Firebird (Trans Am) from the very first 1967 models to the current.

Our events consist of car shows, cruises, drive-in nights, swap meets and family picnic days. We also host the All-American Mystery Cruise nights, inviting other clubs for a great night at different locations monthly.

Those cruises are held on the first Saturday of the month from September to May, inviting all classic car owners, hot rods, bikes etcetera to cruise with us to a destination which is announced at the meeting point and will have plenty of parking and food available. They’re free and there’s a trophy for the cruiser of the night, plus the odd raffle. We meet at Parramatta Pool Carpark, O’Connell St Parramatta at 7.00pm for a 7.30pm departure following a short drivers’ meeting.

We also have historic registration which saves members a lot on costs for vehicles 30 years and over.

Our monthly club meetings are at Smithfield RSL Club, are very casual and not compulsory.
