First registered in 1965 this exceptional DB5 delights in its original condition and colour specification, of Dubonnet Rosso with Black hides. A low mileage example with a highly detailed and comprehensive service and ownership file, spanning over 45 years of use. Clearly much loved and cherished by its previous owners, regardless of cost. A successor to the DB4, the DB5 was introduced in 1964 and remains the first production Aston Martin to be equipped with a 5-speed gearbox, electric windows with tinted glass and twin fuel filler caps. With greater refinement and more performance than its predecessors the DB5 has become widely acknowledged as the most famous car in the world, no doubt as a result of the models association with the worlds favourite fictional secret agent, Commander James Bond. Rare to market and exceptionally well cared for with just 55,000 miles recorded, this example is one of less than 900 coupes manufactured for global distribution and retains its original matching numbers engine and 5 speed transmission. Both rebuilt by respected specialists in recent years, the engine is to 4.2 litre specifications. Chassis restored and bodily refinished, this distinctive car, stands out in being one of the few remaining, in this period popular and original colour scheme. Prepared and serviced in our workshops, this well sorted and highly enjoyable driving car, is supplied serviced and prepared, with its comprehensive service and restoration history file, 12 months warranty and road side support.

We are delighted to offer for sale this motoring icon of the 1960s - a top class, matching numbers Aston Martin DB5. The legendary lightweight DB5 design continued David Brown's association with Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera of Milan which began with the DB2. A wonderfully styled and executed Grand Tourer, the DB5 is widely regarded as one of the most charismatic shapes of its era. Made famous by the fictional character 'James Bond', more than half a century later it is still admired as the most beautiful Aston Martin ever built. The car must be one of the most sophisticated and understated cars in the world; a car to take anywhere, in any company. This particular example was first registered on May 12th 1964 and supplied new by Aston Martin dealership Brooklands. A comprehensive file of documentation accompanies the car detailing its history back to the 1970's. With little over 1000 examples ever built and less than 400 known survivors in the UK, these rare and incredibly desirable cars are inshort supply. The model was only in production from July 1963 to September 1965 but received considerable praise for its performance. The DB5 was capable of 148 mph with a 0-60 mph recorded in 7.1 seconds making it one of the fastest cars available and a match for the best very best in Europe. The DB5 was the replacement for the DB4 and still featured the Tadek Marek designed straight-six all alloy engine. This was enlarged to 3995cc producing 282 BHP and a new five speed ZF gearbox replaced the four speed unit fitted to the DB4. This elegant and collectable car has wonderful presence and its outstanding condition will not disappoint. The car was the subject of a major body-off restoration during the late 1980's. The invoices and photographic record are present and improvement expenditure continued throughout the 1990's. In 2011 the car was purchased by a Knightsbridge resident who owned the car for four years, spending 47,000 on a variety of work with Aston Martin specialists. In 2015 it was soldto the most recent owner. In order to ensure the car was in pristine condition, a further restoration began. The engine was removed and sent to world famous Aston Martin engine specialists RS Williams for rebuild. Between 2015 and 2018 a staggering 115,000 was spent, 40,000 on the engine alone taking an already sound car up to the highest possible standard. The meticulous owner - a true Aston Martin enthusiast and Club official has been fanatical in ensuring its total reliability having had a programme of work carried out with no expense spared. Since completion the DB5 has covered running in miles only and represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire a 'well sorted' example to the discerning buyer. Invoices for all recent work accompany the car and RS Williams have detailed the comprehensive rebuild and upgrade of the engine. During the rebuild procedure they carried out an improved internal waterway modification to their own specification, fitted the highly desirable 4.2 litre specificationliners and bored and honed the cylinder liners to suit Cosworth pistons. The crankshaft assembly was re-ground and balanced, a new clutch pressure assembly fitted and the clutch assembly balanced to the crankshaft. The new steel connecting rods were balanced, new timing chains and tensioners fitted and the water pump rebuilt. The oil pump was replaced, as were the front pulley, all gaskets and hoses. The cylinder head was completely stripped down and new guides fitted. The machining was carried out to accept oversize unleaded specification valve seat inserts. After overhaul the cylinder head was re-fitted with a new gasket and then fitted with carburettors rebuilt to 4.2 litre specification. The throttle linkage, HT lead rail and water pipes were re-chromed and re-plated and on completion the engine was mounted onto a dynamometer for setting up. This including mixture setting, running in and optimising of ignition timing and fuelling. The work to the engine is a true masterpiece and not only doesit present beautifully, the performance is considerably enhanced by the 4.2 specification upgrade and on the road it is simply outstanding. Further mechanical work carried out during the most recent programme includes a new aluminium fuel tank, new aluminium radiator, high-torque starter motor and a new exhaust system. The DB5 has a top class body with stunning paintwork having had a 35,000 body restoration and complete re-paint in 2016. Various items of brightwork were re-chromed, the engine bay detailed and 10,000 was spent on the upholstery to ensure the car was completed to a beautiful standard throughout. Very rarely will an example come on the market having had such high quality recent restoration and as a result, this DB5 can be purchased with absolute confidence. This DB5 presents with investment class quality in every aspect and offers the ultimate 1960's Grand Tourer driving experience and is finished in one of the most highly desirable colour schemes of Silver Birch with Red Vaumol hideupholstery. 1957 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud 1 Drop Head Coupe. Chassis number: SBC118 Registration number: OBC253 (Belgium.) 'Luxury clothed in aluminium', chassis number 'SBC 118' was constructed to H J Mulliner's design number '7410'. Mulliner completed only 21 drophead coupés on the 'Silver Cloud I' chassis (11 left-hand and 10 right-hand drive). Mentioned in the book 'Original Rolls-Royce & Bentley 1946-69' by James Taylor, 'SBC 118' was ordered by J P W Maynard Esq of Fulmer, Buckinghamshire through London dealership George Newman Ltd. First registered on 18th April 1957, the car was delivered with the optional power-assisted steering and power-operated hood, both of which remain in working condition today. In February 1961 the Rolls-Royce was bought by one M E Kirkpatrick of Lowesby Hall, Billsdon, Leicestershire, passing in 1984 to Richard C Himmel in the USA. Based in Chicago, Richard Himmel enjoyed a successful career as an interior designer during the 1960s and 1970s, working for clients including Muhammad Ali, the Playboy Club, and the Chicago Sun-Times' famous gossip columnist, Irv Kupcinet. Later on Richard and Elinor Himmel moved with their children to Palm Beach, Florida, and there are photographs of the Rolls-Royce in Florida on file. The Himmels kept the Silver Cloud until 1998 when it was bought by the current vendor in Holland. When the current owner purchased the car it was in a good driving condition though showing signs of age. Accordingly, the owner commissioned an extensive restoration to the highest standard, which was carried out by Noblehouse in the Netherlands. The exterior colour scheme is a very attractive dark blue with matching hood and beige interior, which it retains today. The restoration was finished in 2000 and the Rolls-Royce registered for the road in Belgium. Since then it has been used regularly but only in good weather, covering around 15,000 miles over the course of the last 18 years. This Silver Cloud has been maintained meticulously, receiving regular servicing at a noted Belgian Classic car garage. Recently the rear axle was renewed and the final drive ratio changed to enable high-speed cruising at reduced revs, while the engine, cooling system, steering mechanism, and ventilation system were checked over by Leo Stoffels in the Netherlands, as confirmed by bills on file totalling over 15,000. Accompanying documentation also includes copies of the Rolls-Royce and Mulliner build sheets; copy old US title; FIVA Identity Card (issued 2002); taxation report (dated 2000); Belgian registration papers; and invoices for parts and work carried out totalling an estimated 80,000-plus. Extensive works have been done by Historic Competition services in Antwerp, who have also been responsible for looking after & servicing the car in recent years. The car is thus in impeccable condition and very very rare with so few having been made. 1953 Bentley 6.5 Litre Supercharged Petersen Racer Chassis number: B357SP Registration number: GVH173 Built in 2003 By renowned builder Bob Petersen. This Bentley Racer is about as "in your face" as they come. The engine is a 6½-litre straight eight, a unit belonging to the B-series of engines developed towards the end of WW2 for military and commercial purposes. Maximum power output of a standard B81 was around 195bhp at 3,750rpm, though this particular unit, which is fed by a Petersen BM supercharger and red-lined at 5,500rpm, is estimated to produce in excess of 400bhp. Power is transmitted via a Salisbury limited-slip differential to the 84-spoke 19" wheels, which are shod with 700x19 Dunlop racing tyres. This coupled with a light body weight makes for electrifying performance. The basis for the car is a Bentley R type chassis from 1953. The chassis is clad with a muscular aluminium body with bulges louvres & air scoops wherever you look. Accommodation is for two on black leather Bentley style bucket seats. The dash is of machine turned aluminium & contains the usual quotient of instruments including a large rev counter & 170mph calibrated speedometer. The odometer is showing 4000 miles since build was completed. The current owner, upon purchase sent the car Back to Bob Petersen to be fully gone through & bought up to the latest spec. Bills for recent work totaling well over£23,000 are on file with the car. The car is part of a small collection of exceptional mostly Bentley motor cars & has been maintained without regard to cost. Despite being a real road burner & hooligans toy, the car may also be driven quite sedately & only shows its full potential when pressing the accelerator hard. It needless to say attracts more crowds when stopped then any other car I have driven. Suffice to say, the faint of heart ought not to apply. A detachable cowl covers over the passenger seat for solo operation. There is also a decent storage compartment in the rear for soft luggage.
