HSV's 5th Anniversary range was released to coincide with the companys 8,000th vehicle being built at the Notting Hill plant. A total of 138 anniversary vehicles were produced including a mix of ClubSport, Senator, Maloo, Statesman and Sports Wagon models, and were finished in Galaxy Blue with Panorama Silver lower body components. These Special anniversary models had there limited build number displayed on the passenger side dash board with a HSV build plate in the engine bay which verified there rarity and with unique decals that were positioned in the front and rear passengers side windows to distinguish them from other HSV models, the interior had the HSV logo with 5th anniversary embroidered on all door trims of what was an upgraded blue and grey interior design. There were 15, 5th Anniversary Maloos built, of which 5 were manual and with the two tone finish paintwork that consists the colour Panorama Silver of the most desirable HSV built the VL Walkinshaw makes this particular HSV ute verycollectible and popular among all HSV collectors. The GTS Maloo is available with either a TR6060 (MG9 spec) 6-speed manual transmission with oil cooler and twin plate clutch, or an optional 6L90E 6-speed heavy duty automatic transmission with oil cooler. Complementing the LSA powertrain is HSVs premium braking package lightweight AP radical forged 6-piston brake calipers with 390mm (front) and 372mm (rear) 2-piece rotors.
