Now available for sale at Muscle Car Warehouse is this beautiful representation of the VR GTS Commodore. When first released the GTS model was as good as it got with its newly developed 215 5.7 litre V8 Holden engine. This car starting its life as a Berlina but now wearing a host of genuine GTS parts. The body kit, wheels and interior are all genuine GTS parts making this Commodore look as close to the genuine article as possible. Cosmetically the only variation is the owners choice to add VS style GTS stickers to the car as opposed to the VR GTS stickers. The car has recently been resprayed and looks fantastic. An Aussie legend on two and four wheels. Wayne Gardners career highlights include no less than 18 Grand Prix wins from a decade long partnership with Honda, along with becoming the first Australian to take the coveted 500ccMotorcycle World Championship title. Following his retirement from front line motorcycle racing at the end of 1992, Gardner made a much publicised switch to touring cars. This in turn led to Gardners foray into the world of road cars, in the form of the Wayne Gardner Racing Road Divisions Group A Commodore. Sensing a gap in the market between the increasingly expensive HSV products and the regular Commodore line up,. Gardners outfit planned to offer a wide range of engine, suspension and bodywork modifications at relatively affordable prices. Tapping into the expertise available via his racing team WGR upgrades included a cold-air induction system re-profiled camshaft, revised computer settings, intake and exhaust mods to increase power to 195kW. Based on the contemporary VR/VSCommodore with its slippery aero styling, WGRs GroupA body package was the work of Sydney design studio Talon which included a deep front spoiler with integrated driving lights, side skirts and a boot mounted rear wing complete with carbon-fiber end plates. The choice of wheels was the 18inch 5spoke alloy MOMO wheel complemented by the custom Recaro interior supplied by Autotek other cosmetic touches included a MOMO steering wheel with a carbon-fibre centre console. The main objective for WGR vehicles were to build them with quality tailored for customer requirements. WGR production vehicles that were built had a unique build number although exact production figures remain unknown. This particular example is totally original which comes with all documentation logbooks and service history. On offer for sale is this 2000 Holden Commodore Team Brock Future Tourer raced by James Brock in the 2000/2001 BOC Gases Australian Super Touring Championship. Originally built by Brock under the Diamond Valley Speed Shop banner after Brock had claimed victory in the inaugural category race at Mount Panorama in 1999 with a VS Commodore, this VT Commodore made its racing debut at Oran Park in July 2000 and competed in Brock Jnrs hands with backing of V8 Sleuth partner Biante Model Cars. The car also saw a certain P. Brock jump behind the wheel for some practice laps, including. When the BOC Gases Series under TOCA Australia stopped after the summer of 2000/2001 season, the car ended up competing in a handful of Future Tourer races at Power Tour/Super Truck events and was later used as a driver training car under the Team Brock banner, updated to VY specification. Now available for sale is what could easily be described as one of the best Mazda RX3 Coupes in the country. Every aspect of this car is day one original and honestly hard to believe. There is not a single modification on this car. Originally imported to New Zealand from Japan and then here to Australia approximately nine years ago and since being in Australia has only had two very careful owners. A full feature on the RX3 was published in issue 49 of Survivor Car Magazine. Running its original 10A engine with original four speed manual transmission that runs and sounds just like it did the day it rolled off the showroom floor. Shortly after the GSII Series III the model was renamed to the GT which then ran the 12A engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The Ford XW Falcon GTHO Phase II is arguably the toughest of all the GTHO models Ford made. With all of the 267 examples produced having solid 351 4V Cleveland engines, 31 spline Top Loader gearboxes and differentials. Falcon GT enthusiasts would argue that the Phase II is their favourite. This example, restored approximately 15 years ago in its original colour of Diamond White with saddle interior. It was originally delivered to Duhig Ford in Essendon, Victoria and was built in August of 1970. The only variations from original are a pair of extractors, paired with a stainless-steel exhaust system and a Phase III style brake vacuum tank. The original exhaust manifolds are included with the sale. The car was entered in the 2009 Falcon GT Nationals where it took out second place in its class. It is believed that as little as 500 750 were produced and this example is one of only two in Australia making this car extremely rare and collectable. All being finished in the iconic Monte Carlo Blue Rally Blue, the 555 edition WRX was made to commemorate Colin McRae winning the 1995 World Rally Championship and based off the Version 2 STI. The 555 editions also have a host of other factory modifications on top of the STI model such as a full operational roof vent, larger IHI turbo, alloy bonnet and roof, vented disc brakes, Nardi steering wheel, STI seats and a rear wiper. Fully imported into Australia approximately fifteen years ago and has been well looked after ever since. The odometer showing just over 68,000 kilometres.
