Ben Gowan's Mustang Eleanor tribute

Like a lot of car enthusiasts, when I first spotted the car Eleanor in the movie Gone in 60 Seconds I just had to have one. I’d been looking for a Mustang with the Eleanor kit for ages, but they were just a bit too pricey. Eventually I came across this one for sale in Sydney that hadn’t been painted yet, so it was a bit more affordable.

It’s got a 351 Cleveland under the hood with a five-speed manual behind it pushing out about 330hp, with disc brakes all round. I absolutely loved the Gone in 60 seconds movie, and I loved the car,

I didn’t want this car be a garage queen, I wanted to buy a driver, so I drive this car everywhere I possibly can so it can be used to its full potential. I didn’t want to push too much horsepower out of the engine because I wanted to be able to get in it, turn the key and drive away each day without the hassle of a high output motor.

The interior has all the buttons from the movie even with the nitrous button on the shifter.
