V8 four-speed

Ford’s ‘square-rigger’ Falcon series – essentially XR through to XY – have a huge following and have seen prices soar over time.

While it has been the sedans and particularly the GT V8s that have been the hero cars, we’ve increasingly seen interest in the alternatives, such as wagons, vans and utes. More often than not they were bought as workhorses and have seen a reltively low survival rate.

This XT started life with a 302 V8 and three-speed manual. It has since been restored and upgraded with a 393 stroker, four-speed Top Loader transmission and a 9-inch LSD. So very much a sleeper.
