Classic endurance racer

Both the original Ford GT racers and the later GT40 production cars are rare and more expensive than they’ve ever been, so keen buyers have started turning to the replica market to satisfy their itch.

This is a 2007 build Ford GT40 replica, constructed right here in Australia by DRB Sportscars. Mid-mounted in the balls-out beast is a 363ci Clevo V8 built by Russell Jones Engines, pumping out 630 horses through a Porsche G50 five-speed gearbox.

Pair that with massive a massive Alcon brake package and 19-inch KWC forged wheels, and it’s a proper weapon. If you thought this GT40 replica was just a show piece, then hopefully we just put that theory to bed. It’s listed for a supercar-spec $350,000.
