Thunderbird Ute!

Sacrilege or just plain sense?

America, the frontier of automotive expression and enthusiasm, a place where dream cars aren’t just figments of imagination, they are reality.

For instance, take this 1961 Ford Thunderbird, the owner, not content with a regular T-bird, has decided to transform his iconic two-door hardtop into a ute, or pick-up, if you live in the US of A.

This may seem like automotive blasphemy to some, however, the T-bird ute is this gentleman’s daily driver, and the practicality of his creation seems almost boundless.

We can’t fathom why the owner would want to part ways with such a unique creation, especially considering that, according to the seller, the T-bird ute starts, runs and even drives well.

It’s not all perfect though, as the owner does admit there is some rust on the inner rear fenders and there was some rust in the floor, but we reckon this just adds to the overall stylish patina of the T-bird.
