This lovely 1967 Mazda 1500 Deluxe sedan might just be the classic car youve been waiting to discover. After a long family ownership of more than 50+ years, the time has come for this time capsule to move into another family to make some memories.
The style and shape of this compact Japanese classic does appear very Italian, why? Well it was designed by Nuccio Bertone and Giorgetto Giugiaro, the famous automotive car designers who were involved in the design of cars like the Lamborghini Muira and Alfa Romeo Montreal! Often referred to as the Luce , you can definitely see the Italian style, making this model stand out from many of the other Mazda vehicles at the time, which carried a more traditional Japanese style.
This 1500 Deluxe sedan is finished in lark beige paintwork with dark mahogany vinyl interior, with original Mazda hubcaps, white wall tyres, and retaining important accessories such as the original jack and Mazda toolkit bag! Good luck finding another one of those!
It proudly wears the numberplates that were fitted to it when first registered (Victorian registration JZS-914) as well as the operations manual, service books, and a Mazda 1500 sales brochure too!
Around 12 years ago, the car was resprayed and given a mechanical freshen up, bringing this quaint and charming classic car back to its best. Whilst the car is not perfect (it is 57 years old after all) it presents in very good condition for its age, and still runs and drives very well, thanks to constant and careful maintenance over the decades.
An ideal weekend cruiser for the enthusiast, and would make a fantastic first classic car if youve never owned one before! This is definitely the kind of car you dont find very often, particularly with such a long history of family ownership.
