2021 Market Review - Porsche 924/928/944/968

911 owners aren’t convinced but objective analysts agree that some of the best Porsches ever made have their engines up the front. The 944 Turbo has doubled in value since 2017 and continues to show growth in an active market. So too the later 968 and its scarce Clubsport derivative. Below them sits the basic 944 Coupe which now costs $30-40,000 in good condition.

Porsche during the 1970s began dabbling with V8s but the shark-like 928 wasn’t a sales success. Over the years its design improved and engine capacity increased, with 5.0-litre 928 S4s at $60,000 offering a good compromise between early cars and the rare 928GTS at over $100,000.

944 Coupe $35,185 [13]

944 S2 Coupe $69,560 [5]

944 Turbo $69,390 [9]

968 Coupe $54,945 [2]

928/928S $44,085 [12]

28 S4 $50,485 [14]

928GTS $109,495 [2]
