The days of paying $2000 for a VN clunker seem well behind us as the money available for excellent early Holden Commodores heads to $10,000 and V8s can exceed $20,000.

VN-VP V6 Calais prices are up as well but then comes a massive drop in the prices being paid for VR-VZ V6s. Later cars with the 5.7-litre V8 can make $16-18,000.

For years, the VN-VP SS was virtually ignored, even by Holden enthusiasts, however the money available for early cars has more than doubled since 2015.
