The MGB GT was purchased in January 2016, the car was fully road worthy with lots of history but purchased as a excellent donor car for the Frontline Development rebuild. The MG has taken 2 years to rebuild during its time the bodywork was extensively rebuilt to the Abingdon Frontline Developments specifications, at a specialist workshop in Pinkneys Green. This included the suspension and engine fitting. The MG was inspected by Frontline and commissioned for the MG to be couriered to Abingdon where Frontline Developments completed the build including carrying out all necessary tests, road tests and commissioning. The MG has been registered as an Historic car and is outside of road fund licence and congestion charges. The car has 10 previous owners including the vendor, this should be irrelevant due to the rebuild. The MG also comes with a tracker which the new owner will inherit the remaining subscription which is active until 10th August 2021.

David Browns ambition to take Aston Martin to new heights required a more powerful V8 engine to replace their established straight six. Whilst the DBS went into production in 1967 it wasnt until two years later that the car received the new, more powerful, V8. The V8 powered DBS ensured Aston could offer one of the fastest production cars in the world. Unfortunately, this was not enough to return Aston Martin to profit and as such David Brown sold the company to Company Developments in 1972. After Company Developments acquisition of Aston Martin work started on a comprehensive facelift of the DBSV8. The main visual differences were the adoption of single headlamps and a revised front grille. Now known as the AMV8, the car retained the Bosch mechanical fuel injection system until August 1973, when four twin choke Weber carburettors were fitted, together with updates to the interior trim, a bigger bonnet bulge to clear the carburettor air box and a re-designed fuel tank to allow more luggage space. Powered by the Tadek Marek designed all aluminium 5.3 litre V8 engine producing in excess of 310 bhp, the AMV8 was capable of accelerating from rest to 60 mph in just 6.1 secs and on to a claimed top speed of 140 mph. The Aston Martin V8 offered here at Autostorico is 1974 Series III example which was supplied new in the UK. Finished in Blue metallic with Blue leather interior this rare manual car has covered 121,912 miles. This collectable Aston Martin is made rarer still by the addition of a factory fit sunroof. The car has been in the same family ownership for the last 17 years and during that time has benefited from a mechanical overhaul. The current owner has had the car out in Sardinia for the last two years and has recently driven the car back to the UK without it missing a beat. Whilst the car is mechanically sound it would benefit from some cosmetic attention as the body work is starting to show signs of corrosion. The car comes complete with an owners manual and history file detailing mechanical works completed over the years by the likes of Pugsley & Lewis Ltd, Trinity Engineering and Mike Morgan. The car is also supplied with a number of previous MOTs to corroborate the mileage. Viewing strictly by appointment only.

Now Available at Peter Vardy Heritage we are proud to showcase the 1975 Jenson Interceptor a true gentleman's express. A total of 6,408 Interceptors were produced between 1966 and 1976 of which only 509 were Convertibles. These cars were designed by Carrozzeria Touring with the bodies being made of steel and, in May 1972, the RHD models had increased their engine capacity to 7212cc. This Interceptor comes with an extensive history file that includes numerous invoices, receipts, old MOT certificates and it also includes the Jensen Interceptor handbook and Convertible supplement along with a workshop manual for the car. The indicated mileage of this gorgeous-looking Interceptor is just 25,000 - a plausible though unwarranted figure supported by the sheer quality of the interior, engine bay and underside of the car. The automatic gearbox and torque converter have been replaced in recent times, though just 4,000 miles have been covered in the last 16 years. Finished in lustrous metallic blue, andtrimmed in black leather, this lovely combination of British engineering and American muscle would surely grace any classic car collection and represents a fantastic 'blue chip' investment opportunity.
