Sidchrome Project Mustang: Episode 1

There's a fair bit of work to do and not a moment to lose!

Sidchrome’s Project Mustang has officially begun and it’s going to take many, many hours to get this Mach 1 looking mach-tastic.

First things first, the ‘Stang heads over to Charlie Schwerkolt’s Team 18 Supercar firm, where it gets completely stripped down.

Then the body panels are taken away to get sand blasted back to the bare metal, with the guys at Sidchrome and Team 18 hoping there’s no massive gremlins lurking beneath the very weathered paintwork.

While this is going on, the Mustang’s 351 Windsor heads over to Saliba Engine Services, where race engine guru Charlie Saliba takes a look at how bad an engine can get when it’s been sitting stagnant for 20 years.
