351 V8

While Australians like to take credit for the invention of the coupe utility, the Americans have been enthusiastic developers of the idea and there's no better example than the Ford Ranchero series.

There was in fact a Ranchero version of what we know as a sixties Falcon, however the first generation from 1957 was adapted from a full-size two-door wagon platform.

The second generation from 1960 was based on the Falcon, and the third went back to a full-size Fairlane platform from 1966.

What you're seeing here is a sixth-generation car, built 1972-76.

In this case it's running a 2V 351 Cleveland V8 with three-speed auto. Located in south-east Melbourne, it's on the market for $33,000.
