Aston Martin celebrates its 110th anniversary

January 15, 2023, marked 110 years since founders Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford formed a partnership that initiated the first Aston Martin, and to mark the milestone, the brand is undertaking a year of celebrations.

The 110th anniversary coincides with the 75 years of the DB, 60 years of the DB5 model and 20 years of Aston Martin’s Gaydon headquarters.

The first celebration sees two iconic models from its 110-year bloodline photographed together: one of the brand’s oldest surviving racing cars the 1923 Razor Blade alongside the Aston Martin Valkyrie hypercar.

Anniversary celebrations under the theme 'Intensity - 110 Years In The Making will take place at the British Grand Prix to be held at Silverstone, the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance and other major events.

There will also be a limited edition model to go on sale later in the year honouring the 110 years along with the launch of the next generation sports cars. Amedeo Felisa, Chief Executive Officer of Aston Martin Lagonda, said, "In 1913 Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford came together with a shared vision of racing cars and using learnings from the racetrack to push the boundaries of automotive innovation."
