Low-volume V8

The history of special Holden variants is rich and surprisingly complex. While there were predecessors, for many of us the real fun started with the Peter Brock-inspired HDT VC Commodores and then of course moved on through HSV.

Plus there were numerous outliers across the decades.

What this means is you’ll often come across one-off or very low-volume cars and this seems particularly prevalent through the early nineties.

For example we recently featured a one-off HSV-enhanced VP Commodore wagon that is still in prime condition today.

Aside from the one-offs, there are super low volume variants, such as this 1991 SV91. Just 103 are thought to have been made and this example is number 52.

It’s running the injected 5.0lt Holden V8 with four-speed auto along with HSV trim and bodywork. The car is with Muscle Car Warehouse in Sydney and is on the market at $78,000.
