Well-kept roadster

This late Series 1 Jaguar E-type roadster is coning up for auction at Collecting Cars. For the time, the E-type was a ground-breaking design for road cars.

In a feature written for the model's 60th anniversary we noted: "The E-type was really like nothing else before it boasting power-assisted disc brakes, (in-board rears) rack and pinion steering, rear independent suspension torsion bars at the front and the employment of racing design principles such as having a spaceframe carrying the engine, front suspension and front bodywork."

This example is a 4.2lt six manual and is said to be in good shape, and is located in Sydney. It's with Collecting cars.
