Here we have the road version of the car that changed rallying forever and captured the World Championship in 1983 and 84.

This is also the Audi that kicked off the quattro all-wheel-drive layout featuring in almost every Audi model today. And given the sales success of Quattro models over many years, it's easy to see why other car makers have followed this all-paw configuration.

Take a look at the Audi Quattro history.

This five-cylinder powered Quattro coupe is offered as is and for the past fifteen years has been in storage.

Claiming to be an original car with low kilometres and running perfectly before its hibernation, it looks like a terrific project to bring it back to its former glory.

This model was never produced in big numbers and sightings here are rare. So if you are keen on getting your mits on a piece of world motoring history, the owner is open to offers around $100,000. See it here.
