By 1976 and the CL Chrysler Valiant, Aussie motorists had seen 11 Valiant models before it. The CL was in production until 1978 and was also built in South Africa.

The CL featured a new grille, nose and bonnet. New quarter panels, boot lid and lower panels featured on the sedan.

A panel van was added to the range in April 1977 completing the lineup of sedan, wagon and coupe (Charger).

The Charger was the hero of the Valiant range and here is our 50 year celebration.

The CL Regal SE pictured was the top dog of the fleet with acres of chrome and quad headlights. This one has a reconditioned 318 stroker running on dual fuel.

It claims 174,000km and has the creature comforts of air-conditioning, power steering, electric windows and cruise control. The owner says it has recently had new brakes, gas shocks and front end bushes fitted. It won't break the bank at $30,000 and is a bona-fide Aussie classic
