Victorian network of British sports car manufacturer expands

Lotus Cars Australia has announced that they will be expanding their Victorian dealer network with two new dealerships opening in the near future.

One will be the new Lotus Melbourne Dealership, which will be located within Zagame Autosport in Richmond. This facility will be headed up by racing car ace and former Bathurst winner, Cameron McConville.

According to Lotus, this new location at Zagame will offer customers servicing, track days and even options to go racing for Lotus owners.

The other new dealership, which is due to open in October, will be Lotus experts Simply Sports Cars, who already have a specialist dealership in Sydney.

Lotus says that Simply Sports Cars Melbourne "will bring their unique approach of fostering a sense of lifestyle and community that comes with the Lotus brand via track days, road rallies and creating other driving experiences for owners."

This dealership will be run by Lotus racing car driver Mark O’Connor, who Lotus says has a wealth of knowledge about both driving and racing the iconic sports cars.

Lotus Cars Australia CEO, Lee Knappett, said that Victoria has been on their radar for a while;

"We have always felt the Victorian market wasn’t receiving all the attention it deserved. It has a huge Lotus community, amazing race tracks and some of the best driver’s roads in Australia. We are truly passionate about delivering a lifestyle to our owners so they can really enjoy their cars and now, we have two great places for them to go to, but not only that, both will be run by experienced motorsport professionals with years of knowledge and experience in amazing dedicated facilities."
