An excellent week for an excellent cause

Own an Aussie muscle car built from 1963-1977? Well, why not take part in the 2017 Aussie Muscle Car Run.

The event, which has been organised by the Leukaemia Foundation, is a weeklong cruise that will kick off in Sydney before making its way through the ACT and Victoria, finishing up in Adelaide.

It’s set to be an action packed week that will take entrants 1900 kilometres across the country, stopping along the way to enjoy controlled motorsport events at some of the country’s best facilities including Eastern Creek, Winton Motor Raceway, the Ford proving Ground, the Portland Drags and much more.

People wishing to enter will pay a registration fee of $1200, which sounds steep, until you realize that the fee includes seven nights’ accommodation, breakfast and dinner, overnight security for all of the vehicles, support mechanics, official entrant’s shirt, car liveries, the aforementioned motorsport events and a bunch of entertainment along the way and it’s all for a good cause.

However, entrants are required to raise a minimum of $4000 per car registered, but remember, this is all going towards the Leukaemia Foundation providing personalised and practical support for people affected by blood cancer, and their loved ones.

It’s all set to take place between Sunday October 29 and Saturday November 4 and anyone wanting more info on this truly excellent event can view the official website.
