2021 Market Review - Chevrolet Apache/El Camino/C10 1955-1982

These Chevrolet pickups weren’t sold new to Australia, yet numbers of available vehicles continue to climb as do prices. Apache was the workhorse, Cameo the show pony. Both could be specified with V8 engines and most in our market will have one.

Outstanding examples at around A$90,000 are matching US values. Apaches were replaced by the C10 and 1960s versions are also following US price trends. 1970s versions usually cost less than $30K with 1960s models $20,000 dearer.

After 1963 the El Camino was based on a Chevelle floor pan and these appeal as a performance car to people who carry a lot of stuff. Values, even of SS versions, remain less than for Chevelle coupes.

C10 1967-75 $46,075 [19]

C10 1976-82 $35,400 [8]

Apache/Cameo 1955-64 $71,800 [16]

El Camino 1964-72 $54,825 [6]

El Camino 1973-82 $32,125 [4]
