This stunning Ice Blue over Cream Austin Healey 3000 MKII was built on the 19th April 1963 and despatched on the 26th April to a New York dealership. PTU 426B was supplied new as a LHD North American Export car with white wall tyres, heater, miles per hour speedo, laminated windscreen, overdrive, adjustable steering column and tonneau cover. We don't know any early history but paperwork confirms the Healey was sold to a Jeweller in Fulton, Missouri in April 1997 who kept the car for nineteen years. By 2015, the long term US owner decided to sell the car in need of restoration and it was exported out of the Port of Houston and arrived in the UK.

Vintage and Prestige are proud to offer this LHD 1958 Austin Healey 100/6 For Sale. The BN6 was the final development of the Healey 100/6 two-seater roadster before being replaced by the Healey 3000 (BT7) in 1959. Chassis no BN6-L/3516 was built at MG's Abingdon works between the 30th September and 2nd October 1958 and shipped to a dealer in San Francisco on the 13th of October. After 32 years of enjoying life in the States and with 54,000 miles on the odometer, this 'Big Healey' crossed the Atlantic once again and joined the collection of a Channel Islands resident who is a long-term Healey enthusiast. He decided to carry out a 'nut and bolt' restoration with great attention to detail hoping to achieve a Concours winning standard. The six-port, cylinder head has been reconditioned and converted to unleaded compatibility with new valves, valve seats, seals etc. The block was cleaned inside and out, re-bored to +0.020 and fitted with new pistons and rings and top end bearings. The crank shaft was within 0.0005 of original so polished only and refitted with new bearings, thrust washers, big end bolts and main bearing nuts. The timing chain and tensioner have been replaced and the water pump reconditioned. All oil and waterways in the block and cylinder head were cleaned and the core plugs renewed. The rear axle and differential were dismantled, cleaned and assembled using new parts where required, and the clutch and gearbox were fully reconditioned using new parts. The steering and braking systems have been completely overhauled and new tyres fitted. All electrical components have either been overhauled or replaced with new items including a complete new braided wiring harness. A new aluminium fuel tank has been fitted along with new fuel lines and fuel pump and the carburettors have been fully reconditioned and set up appropriately. A complete, stainless steel, exhaust system and brackets were fitted. Whenever possible, the original exterior trim has been re-chromed to a very high standard with new brightwork added only when necessary. The hood and tonneau cover are new, the side screens have been reconditioned, and the windscreen glass is new. The interior was completely retrimmed to an extremely high standard and features Navy Blue leather upholstery with white piping and well-fitted carpets in Navy Blue Finally, after weeks of preparation, the Healey was carefully repainted in period Ice Blue over Old English White and the tight shut lines and depth of finish will reward any inspection. This Austin Healey is as immaculate underneath as it is on top. Since this extensive restoration to Concours standard, the car has been driven approximately 200 miles in the Jersey sunshine and any little rattles or niggles eradicated. This Austin Healey comes to us in immaculate Concours condition and is in our showroom ready for viewing. ![CDATA[The Austin-Healey 100 was built between 1953 and 1956 by the British Motor Corporation. It was developed by Donald Healey to be produced in-house by Healey's small car company in Warwick using the Austin A90 Atlantic mechanicals. Healey built a single 'Healey Hundred' for the 1952 London Motor Show, and the design impressed Leonard Lord, Managing Director of Austin, so much that a deal was struck with Healey to build it in quantity at Austin's Longbridge factory. The car was renamed the Austin-Healey 100. The first 100's (series 'BN1') were equipped with the same 90bhp engines and manual transmission as the Austin A90, but the gearbox was modified to be a three-speed unit with overdrive on second and top. The BN2 came with a real 4-speed manual transmission, still with overdrive on the top two gears. Features which distinguish the BN2 from the BN1 are the slightly larger front wheel arches, different rear axle and being the first 100 with optional two-tone paint. In 1955, a 100M model wasdeveloped as well, with larger carburettors, a cold air box to increase air flow to the carburettors, high-lift camshaft and 8.1:1 compression pistons. It produced 110bhp at 4500 rpm. The front suspension was stiffened and the bonnet gained louvres, along with a bonnet strap. There were 640 factory built 100Ms, all BN2 series cars, and most of the cars (approximately 70%) were finished with a two-tone paint scheme. The 100M components (except for the high compression pistons) were also available as the Le Mans Engine Modification Kit, which could be installed in either a BN1 or BN2 with the engine in situ, improving the power output to approximately 100bhp at 4500 rpm. The Le Mans kit and its component parts could be ordered from BMC, so cars were modified by Austin dealers and private owners. This Austin Healey 100/4 was supplied new to the USA where it was converted to M specification by the suppling dealer using the Healey supplied Le Mans kit, including the correct factory steel bonnet.Purchased in 2002 as a restoration project, missing the original engine, the car was imported to the UK and has been subject to a complete restoration returning it back to M specification and converting it to righthand drive. A replacement engine was acquired and completely rebuilt by Healey specialist Richard Parker and married to a BMW Getrag five speed gearbox. The restoration was done over a long period of time at a cost of £85,000. The car has only covered about 100 miles since being completed, so it would still be advised that the engine is still running in. Finished in red with black insert and black interior, this Healey has had all the taxes and duty paid and UK registration has been applied for. These early 100/4s are eligible for a host of classic events including the Mille Miglia. This is a rare opportunity to acquire a very good 100/4 M which would be ideal for local or international classic car events.]]
