1974 Bedford Isuzu Elf - Reader Ride
Lachlan Price's Bedford Isuzu Elf
This is a KA41 Isuzu-built Bedford Elf. It runs a 1584cc petrol four common to other Isuzu cars like the Florian and early Chevrolet LUVs. Holden dealer Freeman Motors sold this one new, possibly to SA Brewing, but other than that, I don’t know much about it.
The colour is either "SA Brewing" blue after the brewery or "Sabre Wing" blue, after a type of bird. The brewery confirmed they did run these back in the day.
Before I bought it my neighbour was keeping it in storage. I wasn’t really after anything when he offered it to me, but when I saw it, I had to have it.
It’s got a mint canopy, so over summer I put a couch in the back and hung out at the beach, but the time has come to move it on. Look it up online or in Unique Cars!
