Classics under the hammer

Donington's current classics auction is underway, with a wide range of classics on offer, such as the 1972 Chrysler Charger shown here.

Running a 265 six with three-speed auto, it's an original unrestored car which the seller says has always been kept active and mainainted. The company expects it to sell for the $50-70,000 range.

There is also a big offering of British cars, from Aston Martin through to Rolls Royce. One of the premium offerings is a 1969 Aston Martin DBSZ

Built in 2007 on a DBS platform and is a hand-built tribute to the original Zagato GTs, of which there were only 19, running a 4.0lt straight six with five-speed manual transmission. This ultra-rare offering is expected to reach $500-550,000.

The auction concludes with a live event on May 19. See the full catalogue.
