2016 Range Rover SDV8 Autobiography

Dark Sapphire Blue with ivory leather interior, the royal Rangie has covered 18,206 miles and is with its third owner.

OU16XVH was registered March 1, 2016 to Jaguar Land Rover  Ltd, at its International Fleet Department.

It was prepared by the Land Rover Workshop at Gaydon and was originally equipped with covert and police emergency lighting, along with specially adapted fixed side-steps – unavailable for general sale and additional grab handles to the rear passenger compartment to enable Her Majesty The Queen access to the rear passenger compartment more comfortably.

These items have since been removed following the vehicle being taken out of Royal Service, but the grab handles used by Her Majesty were left with the car, a lovely touch. The warning sticker for the siren, which was in the engine compartment also remains, as a hint to this Range Rover’s previous life.

The rear entertainment screens were also removed prior to the car being handed over to the Royal Household and were refitted once the vehicle had been removed from service.

This Range Rover enjoyed a very high-profile appearance during President Obama’s state visit to the United Kingdom in 2016.

On April 22, 2016, Prince Philip, accompanied by Her Majesty The Queen, drove it to meet President Obama and the First Lady as they stepped off Marine One, after it landed in the grounds of Windsor Castle.

It’s believed to be one of the rare occasions President Obama would’ve travelled in a vehicle, other than one of his heavily armoured Presidential limousines.

Once the Queen and Prince Philip had welcomed the President and First Lady to Windsor, Prince Philip then drove them to Windsor Castle.

For many years the Royal Family have used Range Rovers, Land Rover being Royal Warranty holders.

Land Rovers and Range Rovers that have seen service with the Royal Household normally have the registration numbers changed once out of royal service, however this example retains its original registration number, OU16 XVH, making it a unique opportunity to acquire a Range Rover with undisputed Royal and Presidential provenance.

As you’d expect the vehicle has been made fit for a queen and has a panoramic sunroof, rear-seat entertainment, power rear window blinds, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated seating, remote central locking and alarm system, a TV and a Harmon Kardon hi-fi system.

Also fitted are a remote park heater, deployable side-steps, luggage guard, and a boot and floor mats. For more info, visit bramley.com
