There's still time to drop in

The National Holden Museum in Echuca has announced it will close on April 14, 2024.

Proprietors Tony and Mark Galea have said there has been a significant personal toll in running the venue, which has been open every day in Echuca since 1993. They began the project in 1984.

The museum was offered for sale as a going concern, but no buyers were found.

As most of the cars are on loan to the venue, much of the collection will return to the private owners. What remains, which includes a lot of paraphernalia, will be sold by auction by Burns & Co on May 18.

It's a sad end to the site, which has been the highlight for countless road trips over the years. However the owners point out there's still time to drop in and say farewell!
