Aussie classic with a great history

The creation of the local Chrysler Charger is a great story of making something good with a tiny budget and turning it into a raring success.

This example has a good hsitory. According to the auction house: "The late John Ellis (former Chrysler Australia compeition manager) purchased this 770 Charger in January 1999 and, with friend Leo Geoghegan, Chrysler’s lead factory driver in period, contested Classic Adelaide events in the early 2000s. Geoghegan and Ellis have both signed the car under the bonnet."

The hsitory of the car is well-recorded.

It's currently running a 265ci six with triple Webers and an E39 transmission and has had a considerable amount of work done on it recently.

Donington Auctions has it listed in a sale that opens for bidding on February 19. The estimate is $80-90,000
