1. Gimmie a my Firebird
By the late 1960s Chev had the Camaro, Ford the Mustang and Cougar and Pontiac was keen on having a slice of the muscle car action. So in February 1967, it launched the Firebird. Now the Bradford Exchange is offering a 1:18 scale diecast replica of a souped up ‘68 model. It’s made by ACME Trading under licence from GM and it claims the greatest authenticity and detail. A must-have for any muscle car collection. Price $349.95
2. Wash on wax on
The crew at car care specialists Meguiars has developed a hybrid ceramic wash and wax blend in a bottle. It brings together two liquids that claims instant water beading for protection and makes the car a cinch to dry. The shampoo element lifts dirt and grime off the duco while the hybrid ceramic technology gives the cars paint work protection against the harsh Australian elements. It claims a streak-free finish. It’s compatible with Meguiars waxes and paint sealants and costs $50.99.
3. Escort Tee
To celebrate Ford’s Mexico Escort, one of the most highly prized of all limited-edition Scorts, Koolcarz has created this cool tee shirt. It is available in black or white with a regular fit or crew neck in a wide range of sizes. The tees are a 100 per cent cotton and mid weight, so you don’t get hot under the collar. They have neck ribbing, are side seamed, double needle hems and are preshrunk. And the caricature of the Escort with its bulging guards looks fabulous. Snap one up for $30.
4. Soft top
Love BMW M-Sport and racing? Then get online and slap this on your scone and make a statement.
