1981 Holden WB Ute – Today’s Tempter

WB Ute WB Ute

The last of the Kingswood-based utilities

Produced from 1981 to 1984, Holden’s WB line of utilities was sold in dealerships alongside the newfangled Commodore.

The WB was a facelifted version, underpinned by the HZ-line, though only utility, van and one-tonner bodies were offered.

Engine options were either Holden’s 202 inline-six, or the 253 (4.2lt) V8, mated to either three or four-speed manuals, or a three-speed automatic.

This 1981 WB Ute looks the goods – and at least at a glance has been well cared for, and may already had some freshening up.

Details are light on the ground, but the seller states that the car is fitted with the original 253 V8 with the three-speed column-shift auto.

The car features power steering, air con, four-barrel carby, disc brakes up front, and has been rust-proofed and fitted with new tyres.

No mention is made on mileage, but the car will come with a roady and the seller claims the car to be in excellent condition. The car looks to have been resprayed as the colour does not appear to be original, but presents well externally. The interior looks hard to fault as well.

At $22,000 the car looks to be in great condition, and would be an awesome workhorse or weekend cruiser.

The car is based in Victoria, and you can check out the full listing here!
