So many good cars

Mecum’s Kissimmee auction, which takes place from 11-13 of January, 2018, has some truly unbelievable cars up for grabs.

However, while there are many, many amazing vehicles at this auction, the star attractions have to be the simply amazing cars up for grabs as part of the Michael Fux Collection.

Yesterday, we talked about the Quartet of Mercedes-AMG Black Series that is being auctioned off as part of Fux’s collection.

However, these four awesome Merc’s are only the tip of the iceberg of Fux’s collection, here are our other favourite picks:

2006 Ford GT
With a stupidly low 371 miles showing on the clock from new, Fux’s Ford GT may well be one of the lowest mileage examples of the second gen GT. It also appears to be in absolutely immaculate condition. These GTs have become increasingly desirable of late, with many praising the GT’s raw and visceral as one-of-a-kind. Just over 4000 of these beauties were built, making them exceedingly rare. In addition, thanks to a supercharged 5.4lt V8 that pushes out 410kW (550hp), the second generation GT is a stupendously fast, even by today’s standards, with a top-speed of 330km/h.

2015 Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta
The Ferrari 458 is regarded by many as not only one of the best supercars ever built by Maranello, but one of the best supercars ever made, period. How then, did Ferrari go about making the best even better? They lopped the roof of the Speciale and, in doing so, created the 458 Speciale Aperta. Just 499 were built, and Fux’s chosen specification is as gorgeous as it is striking, with Mecum’s stating that this particular Speciale has over $110,000 in special order options included. What’s more, this Aperta is virtually brand new, with a mere 398 miles showing on the odometer. There’s no telling how much the Speciale A will sell for, however there was one advertised recently here in Australia, and that car didn’t have as good a spec as this, and yet the price tag for that vehicle was well over $1.4 million.

2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS
Last but certainly not least is the one and only Porsche 911 997.2 GT2 RS, or, as it’s more commonly known as, The Widow Maker. The GT2 is a leviathan of a car, forged in the crucible of motorsport that is the Nürburgring, it had one goal when it was produced, beat the production car lap record at the Nordschleife. And, as is often the way with Porsche, that’s exactly what the GT2 RS did, completing that lap record in a ballistic 7 minutes and 18 seconds. That lap may be blisteringly quick, however, it’s not hard to believe when you consider that the GT2 RS has 462kW (620hp) and a top speed of 336km/h. Just 500 GT2 RSs were built, Fux’s is finished in Guards Red and has a mere 677 miles showing on the clock and we’re everyone in the office is seriously considering chipping in for a group buy.
