Aussie Classics at Shannons

Locally built legends, up for grabs!

Shannons’ Sydney Spring Classic Auction, which takes place on Monday, November 13, is offering up a fantastic array of automobiles.

There’s something for everyone at this auction however, fans of Aussie built metal really do have a great opportunity to secure some excellent examples of local classics.

Here are our favourite picks:

1968 HK Holden Monaro GTS 327 ‘Bathurst’

1968 HK Holden Monaro GTS 327 ‘Bathurst’According to Shannons, this ‘Warwick Yellow’ HK GTS is a genuine Bathurst 327 model and the 249 Sydney built Monaro. Shannons add that the vehicle has had a ground up restoration approximately 11 years ago and the vehicle runs and drives strongly. Shannons estimate the Monaro will sell for $170,000 - $195,000.

1970 XW Ford Falcon GT

1970 XW Ford Falcon GTBuilt in March of 1970, this factory ‘Zircon Green’ GT Falcon was first sold through Frank Delandro of North Sydney and Cremorne, NSW. Shannons say that the original owner of the vehicle must’ve wanted to fly under the radar in the GT, as the factory bonnet pins, side stripes and Super Roo decals were all factory deleted. Shannons reckon the sleeper GT is good for $125,000 - $140,000.

1964 EH Holden

1964 EH HoldenShannons say that this lovely looking EH has been with the current owner for the last ten years and has been maintained well, with service records dating back to 2004. Shannons add that the wagon has been fitted with a number of NASCO accessories including rear venetian blind, wind deflectors, door plate protectors, dress rims and a period correct Air Chief radio. Shannons are saying the EH is could sell for $20,000 - $30,000.
