2021 Market Review - Dodge (US Models) 1962-1973

US-spec Dodges from the 1960s-70s rarely made their way to Australia as new cars, however that has helped ensure that most survivors retain LHD steering which helps maintain collector interest and value.

Compact Darts resemble our VF-VG Valiant Hardtops but come with bigger V8 engines and interesting packaging, so $50K is a fair price. Chargers from the 1968-70 ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ era are popular and prices for genuine R/T versions have hit $150,000.

More affordable but still interesting are early 1966-67 cars, often at less than $80,000. Coronet R/Ts and Superbees are genuine muscle cars, some with the optional 440 cubic inch (7.2 litre) engines and identified by distinctive striping.

At around $100,000 they offer plenty of possibilities for astute collectors.
