2021 Market Review - Dodge Challenger/Viper/Ram SRT10 1970-2008
Challengers are difficult cars to find in Australia and when they do appear, prices reflect the money being generated by the excellent cars in the USA. Basic 318 or 383 automatic Hardtops make US$35-40,000 over there, so $80K here is fair. For the big spenders, a matching number Hemi or 440 Six-Pack will top US$150,000 and make $300,000 here.
When outlaying big money, engage an expert to verify the engine/transmission combo matches the build sheets. More recent and less practical (if possible) than a Hemi Challenger are V10-engined Viper sports cars that have been arriving since the 1990s and hold their values at above $100,000.
RAM pickups with the same basic V10 engine go hard and are practical but prices are climbing.
Challenger 318/383 $88,000 [3]
Challenger 340/440 $146,000 [3]
Challenger T/A $160,000 [1]
Viper 2000-06 $129,580 [5]
Ram SRT10 2004-08 $86,000 [4]
