2022 Aussie Family & Sports Car Market Review - Ford Fairlane/LTD ZJ-BF

Roomy and well-equipped, these Fairlanes and LTDs have plenty to recommend them.

With good cars selling at $7000-10,000 they slot easily into the low-cost end of the Family Classic spectrum and even an early ZJ shouldn’t cost more than $15,000. LTDs of similar age make slightly more than comparable Fairlanes and get dearer as they head towards the Y2K Millennium.

Even an end-of-the-era BF Fairlane will cost around the same as a ZJ, with LTDs slightly more. Those with an eye to the future might latch onto a GS220, which originally would have cost around $62,000. Today the few available sell in the vicinity of $10,0

Fairlane ZJ-ZL $11,770 (31)

Fairlane NA-NL $7210 (27)

Fairlane AU $7210 (25)

Fairlane BA-BF $11,695 (23)

Fairlane GS220 $10,420 (5)

LTD 1979-91 $11,770 (13)

LTD 1992-97 $10,300 (10)

LTD 1998-05 $14,275 (6)
