Tatura's Hussln Auto Detailing raised nearly $6000 for mental health

Vehicles of all shapes and sizes came for a visit

On Saturday March 23, vehicles of all shapes, sizes and styles converged on Hussln Auto Detailing in Tatura for its 14th birthday. But this wasn’t any normal celebration, with an open day and Charity Car show organised.

"When we moved into this facility four years ago, I decided, with the room, it was time to organise a car show; and raising money for mental health was a always part of the plan, as I have had my own battles with it for over a decade and it’s time we talk about it more," Hussln Auto Detailing owner Cam Scorey said.

With the road closed, trade stalls set up and egg and bacon rolls on the barbecue, there was plenty of parking and things to do for the 120 entrants and over 450 spectators. The main attraction was the auction and raffle to raise money for Beyond Blue. Custom painted skate decks, eskys and thousands in vouchers to local businesses helped us beat our fundraising target.

Currently it’s sitting at $5500 raised, but by the time this goes to print it will be $6000.

Following another successful event, Scorey announced that the event will now be held
every second year with March 2026 already locked in.

"We want to make the event bigger, give it the respect it deserves to organise it properly and make it a major part of the Goulburn Valley’s event calendar".

Scorey wished to thank the event’s major sponsors: Foodworks Tatura, Greater Shepparton City Council, M1 Traffic, Shannon’s Insurance, Bertolis Ag and all the other sponsors, local businesses and everyone who contributed to the raffle and auction prizes.
