Great eight with all the gear

With the big 5.7lt V8 on board and premium everything else, HSV's Senator added what it hoped was a European level of handling and luxury to an already very capable package from Holden. You also scored the excusivitiy of a relatively small build number. 

As this HSV specs panel shows, the cars came loaded with lots of premium gear.

With exception to the absolute hero models, prices on used HSVs sat in the doldrums for a fair while. However interest has inevitably reignited now that locally-built mainstream cars from Holden, Ford an Chrysler have become hot property.

This 2004 example is an auto, claims 202,000km on the odo and to be in good shape. The seller says it now has a set of Simmons wheels fitted and we'd be asking after the originals as well. Located in Vic, it's on the market for $39,000.
