Super-clean low-miler

Holden's last two-door fling - and indeed the last coupe of its type made in this country - had modest export success and saw some fascinating offshoots, including assorted HSV variants punctuated by the extraordinary all-paw Coupe4.

The development of the car was a brave move, given the sometimes patchy record of local two-door coupe sales. As we note in a feature on the series: "Luckily when Peter Hanenberger (of Radial Tune Suspension fame) was appointed Holden CEO, his goal was to expand the Commodore range and the Monaro became a reality. Sixty million dollars was allocated to transform the four-door VT Commodore into a production coupe."

See the feature here.

This 2002 example is a two-owner V8 auto with a well-recorded history and just 27,500km on the odo.

If you were in the market for one of these, it seems liike the one to have. The seller says: "It is being sold with an RWC and comprehensive documentation along with a host of Monaro memorabilia, including a singed letter welcoming the Monaro ownership by Peter Hanenberger, then MD of Holden. There is also books, brochures and original unused aluminium keyring still in its box."

Located in Melbourne, it's on the market at $100k.
