Ford Mustang 1999-2011 - 2023 Market Review
2023 Market Review - Ford Mustang 1999-2011
Plenty of Aussie-delivered Mustang Cobras in the market have kept values steady (coupes around $25,000, convertibles at $30,000) but these cars have little chance of becoming collector items.
Better for the long term are mid-Noughties, supercharged GT500 Shelbys, however these have been generating some extreme prices that didn’t hold up after one tested the auction market and was a $69,500 no sale.
More sensible was the $71,000 accepted for a tidy looking Roush and similar money asked for a couple of Saleen-modified cars. A low mile, 40th Anniversary Super Snake made US$82,000 at a North American sale in early 2022 and that set the tone for local vendors when setting prices.
Allowing for currency differences, tax and RHD conversion costs, the $200-240,000 being sought locally is realistic.
