2021 Market Review - Peugeot 1961-2006

Old Peugeots don’t appear in the market very often and that’s a shame because they are interesting and involving cars.

The 203 in its day was a long-distance rally star but survivors today cost half the price of an FJ Holden and are better suited to Australia than the local.

403s and 404s normally cost less than $10,000 but the car to chase is a fuel-injected 504 from the 1970s.

Quick and comfortable there aren’t many left but survivors typically cost less than $12,000. One surprise package has been the 205GTI which didn’t attract huge attention when new but soared a few years back to around $20,000.

Another Peugeot with potential is the 306S-16 which is steadily making its way towards $15,000.
