Your chance to win Purple Thunder – Classics for a Cause

Feel the thunder as 700 horsepower surges to the fly. This 1972 Ford XA Falcon GT arrives like a storm front, darkening the horizon with its GT blackouts and splitting the silence with a powerful Windsor 440ci V8.

Restored from bare-metal and finished in original colour Wild Violet, then trimmed in chrome with GT styling, this XA Falcon is set on staggered 18-inch Boyd Coddington Espada wheels, but the inside is even more impressive.

Lift the bonnet and come face-to-face with the powerful V8 engine. It has
been built with a Dart Sportsman block, Callies crank, H-beam rods, Diamond pistons and a Comp Cams solid-roller cam paired with a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed manual gearbox feeding a nine-inch Detroit Trutrac differential with 4.11 gears.

A FiTech electronic fuel injection rated at 800hp keeps the thunder precise, with the display tucked slyly inside the glovebox.

Take a seat inside and you find the eye of the storm. The interior, retrimmed in factory-style white vinyl, is restored to GT specification with fresh bucket seats, centre console and door trims.

The calm is deliberate, a command zone that gives you clarity before unleashing chaos. A wood-rimmed steering wheel and black Tremec shift knob add just the right edge, while the rare wind-back sunroof opens the skies above, letting the thunder roll through.

Every detail of this 1972 Ford XA Falcon GT is a warning for the storm ahead. Will you sit safely in her eye, or get blown away?

One way or another, the forecast is clear: Purple Thunder is here.
