From Karmann Ghias' to Kubelwagens to Kombis; all are up for grabs
One hundred and seventy Volkswagens from Kubelwagens to Kombis and everything between is an impressive sight.
Now the world’s largest private collection of Veedubs, and more is up for grabs from the Volkyland Museum based in Puerto Rico.
The facility is shutting its doors as the owner is finding maintaining them too difficult and is retiring, hence the sale.
There are Beetles, Karmann Ghiass, Type 3s, utes, buses, just about anything that ever moved with a VW badge on it.
Included in the sale are dozens of Beetles, some split and some single rear windows, Superbugs, rare 1952-3 Zwitter models, original Kubelwagens, 21-window Kombis, fastbacks, a Schwimmwagen and right up to 2003 Ultima Edicions, the final Beetles built in Mexico.
There are also several Porsches of different varieties and a stockpile of parts in the impressive facility.
Randy Carlson, a noted vehicle appraiser and host of Discovery Channel’s Sticker Shock has been trusted to sell the lot.
The Volkswagens are being sold as single units or in multiples with discounts offered for those who buy more than one.
