A humble Datsun ute, a giant Impala convertible and an FC Holden with all the Nasco goodies - and that's just scratching the surface!
Next Monday’s Shannons Winter Classic in Melbourne has a couple of high-end offerings such as a Porsche 930 and XA Ford Falcon GT hardtop, but there is also a wealth of mid-range metal on offer.
For example there are three HSV Club Sports on the block, a number of local chrome bumper sedans, plus some Brit royalty. Among the latter are two Rolls-Royce from very dfferent eras (the 1930s and the 1980s) plus a pair of Jaguar XJ series saloons that are likely to be pretty light on the proverbial chequebook.
American collectors have a couple of interesting opportunities, such as the rare 1956 Oldsmobile 98 Starfire convertible and a 1969 Dodge CHarger 440 in an unusual red-on-white colour combo.
Join our editorial crew as they pick out a few favourites, ranging from a humble workhorse through to a big slice of Americana.
