Enjoy the eye-candy of Formula Fords, 5000s and Touring Cars of old

With as many as 12 different Historic Categories, and racing cars spanning from the 1920s to the 1980s, the Sandown Historic saw three days of vintage racing excellence over this past weekend.

Formula Fords, Formula 5000s, and some of the greatest Touring Cars of old all took to Sandown Raceway to stretch their legs.

Taking place over November 9-11, the action wasn’t just limited to the track with displays set up around the paddock and a total of some 800 cars in attendance.

We sent sharpshooter Shaun Tanner down to capture some of the action, so enjoy this gallery full of vintage racing glory.

The Victorian Historic Racing Register’s next meeting will be held at Phillip Island, March 8 to March 10 2019.
